Sacred Sundays... Come Holy Spirit

I can barely put in to words the experiences of these past few weeks. A dear friend, who knows some of what our family has been through in the last few years, shared some information with me. She recommended a mortgage writer and told me about a local program working with families who have been through tough times and lost a home. I will be honest... I did not expect much. I thought, she mustn't understand our scenario fully. Well... she did.

We contacted her guy, and told him every horrid detail. He and Mike talked back and forth for a week or so. He came back with more exciting news than I was prepared for. "Find a realtor, and start looking for a house now. Your hard work has paid off, and you can start looking for a house right now."

I am still stunned.

Mike and I sat on the edge of our bed, held hands, and said a fervent prayer to the Holy Spirit, asking for guidance and a clear path to find "just the right house" for our family.  The next day, I had to bring the kids to their martial arts tournament. Mike had to work in the morning. Once his event was finished, he decided to attend an open house in the area. He met a realtor. The realtor's name is Emilio DiSpirito. Yes. That's right. DiSpirito. And Mr. DiSpirito's business card just happens to be graced by a graphic of the Holy Spirit.

I cannot even begin to share with you the amount of tears I've shed, the amount of thanksgiving we have poured out, or the amount of grace that has flowed in since this "chance" encounter.  Within days, Mr. DiSpirito had us touring a house we were already in love with, wrote out an offer, and the offer was accepted.  The offer was accepted on November 16th.  My heart almost stopped. November 16th was the date we took our last glance around our house, locked the door, and left the key.  Exactly 3 years to the date, the Lord has helped us become a new creation and begin a new life.

The story does not end there. But there will be so many new chapters on this amazing journey we are on. I cannot wait to share with you all of the mighty ways the Lord is moving and working in our lives.

"Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Your faithful, and enkindle in them the fire of Your love."
